KLASE NG K-12 GAWING LIVESTREAM

ITINUTULAK ng isang mambabatas mula sa mababang kapulungan ng Kongreso ang mga araling pang-K to 12 sa cable TV at video livestreaming bilang kasagutan sa layunin ng Department of Education para sa distance at open learning ng mga estudyante para makaiwas sa COVID-19.

Umapela si Agusan del Norte (1st District) Rep. Lawrence Fortun sa National Telecommunications Commission, cable TV networks, at local video livestreaming service providers at platforms na maisakatuparan ito.

Para naman sa interactive sessions sa mga lugar na maayos ang internet signal, maaaring magkita-kita pa rin ang mga guro at kanilang mga estudyante sa pamamagitan ng Zoom, Skype, Facebook video chat, at iba bang online video conferencing applications.

“The cable tv channels could make available at least 13 channels for K to 12 at one channel per grade level, while local video streaming providers could have K to 12 series for each grade level…TV classes could also be simulcast on radio channels,” ani Congressman Fortun.

“The subscription business model can be applied to this concept. Subscription rates of P50.00 or lower per channel multiplied by the millions of students who would be subscribing is doable because of economies of scale,” dagdag niya.

Pangmatagalang panahon ang open learning modes, ayon kay Fortun, kahit humupa na ang kasalukuyang COVID-19 krisis.

“The Department of Education can augment the K to 12 TV classes with its online teaching materials and mobile apps for downloadable and uploadable exercises and homework,” pahayag ni Fortun.
