PUMANAW na si dating Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim habang nakaratay sa pagamutan dahil umano sa karamdaman.
Nauna nang itinanggi ng mga kaanak ng 90-anyos na dating alkalde ang ulat na binawian na ito ng buhay ngunit ngayong hapon ay kinumpirma umano ng chief of staff nito ang pagpanaw ng
tinaguriang ‘Dirty Harry’ ng Maynila.
Ayon kay Ric de Guzman, chief of staff ni Lim, umaapela ang pamilya sa publiko, mga kaibigan at supporter na bigyan sila ng ‘privacy’ hinggil sa kalagayan ng dating alkalde.
“On behalf of the family of former Mayor Fred Lim, we appeal to everyone to please give us some moments of privacy as we focus on Mayor Lim’s swift recovery from his current illness. We thank all those who have expressed concern and offered prayers for him and us during these trying times.
Please continue praying for him as we all do. Mayor Lim is very much alive although he is confined in a hospital now. In fact, he’s making good progress as of this statement. I hope this puts to rest all misinformation that he had passed away and a stop to negative speculations about his health.
It is not helping him and the family any. Thank you,” pahayag ni de Guzman.
