BINIGYANG DIIN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte na wala siyang basbas o go signal sa pagboto ng Pilipinas pabor sa isinusulong na imbestigasyon ng United Nations sa naging aksyon ng Israel sa Gaza Strip.

Nagsagawa muna ng pagtatanong ang pangulo ukol sa sitwasyon matapos niyang sabihin na dadalo sana siya sa exit call ng Israel envoy to the Philippines.

“Sino ba may alam diyan? What was that ruckus about? Our representative voted without consulting the home government,” dagdag na pahayag ng pangulo.

Mahigit dalawang linggo na ang nakalilipas nang ipatawag ng Foreign Ministry ng Israel si Philippine Ambassador to Israel Macairog Alberto “for clarification discussion at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the Philippines’ vote at the Human Rights Council in favor of the establishment of an investigative committee against Israel over events surrounding Operation Guardian of the Walls.”

Nang tanungin naman hinggil sa insidente, sinabi ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque na “The President does not micromanage. Although he is the chief architect of foreign policy, the way our delegation votes in the UN, UN Human Rights Council…he leaves that to the Philippine delegation.” (CHRISTIAN DALE)
