Ito ang good news para sa Philippine women’s national football team matapos matalo sa Thailand, 0-1, noong Martes sa ginaganap sa bansa na 2022 AFF Women’s Championship.
Dahil 4-1 win-loss ang Filipinas sa Group A, pasok pa rin sila sa semifinals.
Gaganapin ang semi final bukas (Biyernes) kung saan makakalaban ng Filipinas ang alinman sa Vietnam o Myanmar sa Group B.
Samantala, labis pa rin nanghihinayang si Filipinas coach Alen Stajcic sa pagkatalo ng koponan.
Nakagawa ng ‘rare error’ ang Pinay booters sa 75th minute na sinamantala ni Thai’s Kanyanat Chetthabutr para makalusot sa goal-keeper na si Olivia McDaniel.
“Both teams could have won the game. Unfortunately, one error cost us the game,” wika ni Stajcic matapos ang laro.
“We had enough chances to win the game, and Thailand had two or three chances. We had four or five, probably had a few more than them, and we didn’t put them away, and we got punished by one error.”
