PINANGUNAHAN nina Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando, PNP chief, PGen Benjamin Acorda Jr., Vice Gov. Alex C. Castro at Bocaue Vice Mayor Sherwin N. Tugna ang fireworks inspection sa mga tindahan ng paputok sa Barangay Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan nitong Biyernes, Dec. 29.

Ang mga tindahan sa nasabing bayan ang tinaguriang capital fireworks stores sa bansa kung saan nais nina Fernando at Acorda na matiyak na ligtas ang mga manufacturer, dealers at consumers kasabay ng pagpapaalala sa publiko na huwag tangkilikin ang prohibited firecrackers and pyrotechnics.

Prayoridad ni Fernando na siyang chairman ng Bulacan Pyrotechnic Regulatory Board, na maging ligtas ang pagdiriwang sa pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon.

Nabatid na naglabas ng direktiba ang gobernador sa ginanap na Provincial Peace and Order Council meeting noong nakaraang linggo na nag-aatas sa local government officials kabilang ang barangay officials sa mga bayan ng Bocaue at Sta. Maria, na magsagawa ng house-to-house inspection makaraang makatanggap ng report na ang mga kabahayan ang ginagawang manufacturing site ng mga ilegal na kapitalista.

“Safety must always come first, that is why proper control and regulation of the use of firecrackers and pyrotechnics devices must be strictly impose,” wika ni Fernando.

Naniniwala si Fernando na ang kaligtasan at kaunlaran ay matatamo kung mayroong tamang panuntunan, maayos na implementasyon at responsableng manufacturers, dealers, at users ng firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices.

Ang isinagawang inspeksyon ayon naman kay Acorda, ay upang matiyak ang ligtas na paggamit ng fireworks sa pagsalubong ng Bagong Taon.

“Kailangan masiguro natin na ang lahat ay sumusunod sa itinakda ng batas sa ilalim ng RA 7183,” ani Acorda.

“The PNP, local government units, other government agencies firmly ensure the strict implementation of these measures, we wish to have a safer and happier new year, we want to make sure that everyone follows,” dagdag nito.

Kabilang sa sumama sa inspection ay ang Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) sa pamumuno ni BGen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Bulacan Police Provincial Office (PPO) head Col. Relly Arnedo, Bocaue LGUs, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Technical Education and Skill Development Authority (TESDA), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), Bulacan PDRRMO, Department Of Science and Technology (DOST), Bulacan PDRRMO, Philippine Pyrotechnic Manufacturer and Dealers Association Inc. (PPMDI), at Bulacan Chambers of Commerce Inc.
