CLAIMANT ARESTADO SA 1.8 KILONG SHABU

HINDI nagawa pang pumalag ng isang 42-anyos na claimant ng kargamento matapos dakpin ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) sa isang controlled delivery operation sa Lungsod ng Mandaluyong kamakailan.

Sa kalatas ng BOC, nasa 1,808 gramo (katumbas ng 1.8 kilo) ng shabu ang nadiskubre ng BOC-Port of Clark (BOC-Clark) sa isang kargamentong dumating sa bansa mula Estados Unidos.

Matapos suriin at makumpirmang droga, agad na nagkasa ng isang controlled delivery operation si BOC-Clark District Collector John Simon kasama ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at Customs Anti-illegal Drugs Task Force (CAIDTF) sa Mandaluyong City kung saan dinakip ang suspek sa aktong pagtanggap ng droga sa operatiba.

Base sa impormasyong ibinahagi ng BOC-Clark, idineklarang laruan ang kargamento batay sa mga dokumentong isinumite sa ahensya.

“The BOC discovered the illegal drugs during physical examination of a shipment from California, USA, said to contain “lol surprise dolls toys, plush stuffed animals, toy car,” saad sa isang bahagi ng pahayag ng kawanihan.

Sa imbentaryo, nakita ang droga sa dalawang lata ng Mr. Espresso Premium Coffee kung saan diumano nakalagak ang halos dalawang kilo ng shabu.

Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng PDEA ang suspek na nahaharap sa kasong paglabag ng Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act) at RA 10863 (Customs Modernization and Tariff Act).

“We commend our personnel in their commitment to stop illegal drug smuggling at our port and we also recognize PDEA for their support in our drug seizures and apprehensions,” ani Simon.
“The Port of Clark, under the leadership of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, will further intensify our measures to stop attempts of illegal drugs smuggling in the country,” dagdag pa ng opisyal.

“The BOC has been fully committed to the directives of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., to curb smuggling in all forms, especially the smuggling of prohibited drugs. With our stricter border security measures in place, we are positive that these illegal drugs imported by unscrupulous individuals will be apprehended,” wika ni Rubio sa hiwalay na pahayag.
