ISANG dagdag pahirap para sa mga manggagawa ang planong Philippine National Police clearance para sa lahat ng transaksyon sa Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at banta rin sa industrial peace sa bansa.
Ito ang sinabi ng pinakamalaking labor unions federation ng bansa.
Nauna rito, may panukala umano si PNP chief, P/General Debold Sinas sa DOLE na i-require ang police clearance sa lahat ng may mga transakyon sa kanila para madagdagan ang National Police Clearance System (NPCS).
Ngunit ayon naman kay ALU National Executive Vice President Gerard Seno, ang pagre-require sa workers police clearance sa transaksyon sa DOLE ay isang karagdagang government bureaucratic layer at karagdagang gastusin at pahirap sa mga manggagawa.
“From the looks of it, the proposed police clearance in DOLE transactions would further delay the injustice among aggrieved workers and would drive away those seeking redress in DOLE’s conciliation, mediation and dispute resolution and workplace inspection processes and many other services of DOLE and its attached agencies,” ani Seno.
Imbes na i-require ang police clearance sa transaksyon sa DOLE, ipinanukala ni Seno sa PNP na pagsamahin ang kanilang local police clearance system sa kanilang national clearance system, sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa local government units at sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
