“It is very alarming that during this time of medical crisis, our medical frontliners should feel the need to hold a silent protest in order to be given basic necessities to perform their jobs,” ani Defensor.”It is very alarming that during this time of medical crisis, our medical frontliners should feel the need to hold a silent protest in order to be given basic necessities to perform their jobs,” ani Defensor.
“Our nurses should, at the very least, be given sufficient protection such as PPEs and N95 masks while on the job,” ayon pa kay Defensor lalo na’t umaabot na umano sa 40 sa empleyado ng pagamutan ang nagkaroon ng COVID-19.
“We fully support the call of the nurses for better working conditions, such as the hiring of additional personnel to relieve overworked medical staff, payment of salary during quarantine for those infected, and the immediate implementation of the Supreme Court ruling increasing the base pay of government nurses to Salary Grade 15,” dagdag pa ng mambabatas.
