HOTTEST issue sa ating bansa ngayon ang impeachment. Recently, may nag-file against kay Pangulong Bongbong Marcos ng impeachment sa Congress, sa kadahilanan ng mga sumusunod: culpable violation of the constitution, malversation, at betrayal of public trust. Unfortunately, ‘di nakapasa sa Kongreso at di ‘nakarating sa Senado upang litisin ng senator-judges.

On the other hand, si VP Sara naman ang sinampahan ng impeachment complaint with the same issues. We’re now waiting and watching what will happen in the case of VP Sara. Wika nga, abangan ang susunod na kabanata!

Alam ba ninyo sa panahon ni Apostol Pablo ay naharap din siya sa impeachment? Acts 24:2, “So Paul was sent for. And Tertullias began to impeach him as follows; indebted as we are, he said, ‘To you, most noble Felix, for the perfect peace which we enjoy, and for reforms which your wisdom has introduced to this nation” (WNT). “Therefore, let those of you,” he said, “Who can come, go down with me, and impeach the man, if there is anything amiss in him.”

Big differences sa case of impeachment ni PBBM, VP Sara at kay St. Paul. Both BBM and VP Sara were accused of violating laws, whereas, St. Paul was accused of spreading the good news about Christ. The Jewish and Romans were against the preaching being delivered by St. Paul. Therefore, he was slashed, house arrested, jailed and ostracized even though he was a Jewish and Roman citizen.

St. Paul faced all the accusations, sapagkat alam niya na tama at ayon sa banal na kalooban ng Diyos ang ginagawa niya. He preached the gospel boldly kahit siya ay mabilanggo.

Unlike, sa case of our leaders involved in corruption, they have no guts to answer and face the accusations whether there is truth or wrong accusations. They kept denying their sin to the people.

Gayahin natin si St. Paul, hinaharap ang impeachment sa kabila na siya ay naghahayag ng katotohanan, ng mabuting balita ng Panginoon bilang isang mabuting mananampalataya! (giv777@myyahoo.com)
