WINAKASAN ng Philippine National Police – Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) ang siyam na taong pagtatago ng isang rape suspect at no.1 most wanted person on municipal level, nang matunton ito sa Lanao del Sur.
Ayon kay PNP-AKG Director P/BGen. Jonnel C. Estomo, bandang alas-9:30 ng umaga noong Linggo nang matunton ng kanyang mga tauhan ang suspek na si Rodrigo Pallino y Patilano, alyas Rudy Pallino, na matagal nang pinaghahanap ng mga alagad ng batas.
Si Pallino na itinuturong gumahasa sa biktimang kinilala lamang sa pangalang Paz noong taong 2012, ay dinakip ng mga tauahn ng PNP-AKG Mindanao Field Unit sa Brgy. Amoyong, Wao, Lanao Del Sur.
Armado ng warrant of arrest na inisyu ni Hon. Reymar L. Lacaya, Presiding Judge ng RTC Branch 10, 9th Judicial Region, Dipolog City, sinalakay ng mga awtoridad, sa pangunguna nina P/Lt. Col. Clarence C. Gomeyac , pinuno ng AKG-Mindanao Field Unit, kasama ang mga tauhan ng
AKG MFU Iligan Satellite Office, Cotabato Satellite Office at Davao Satellite Office.
Ayon kay Maj. Rannie Lumactod, PNP-AKG chief Information Officer, nagsagawa muna ng surveillance police operations bago itinakda ng mga opisyal ang pagsisilbi ng warrant of arrest, sa tulong ng Wao
Municipal Police Station, Mutia MPS at Zamboanga del Norte Police, laban kay Pallino.
“As a backgrounder, after commission of the crime he went into hiding in a different places of
Zamboanga Peninsula for 9 years and become very illusive to the operating troops, finally the PNP AKG efforts to eliminate and apprehend all on the loose criminals stemmed on the intelligence driven police operations of AKG that had been hot on the trail against the suspect who were monitored to have been transferred from one place to another and to his present location. The PNP AKG prove once again that the long arms of the law still exist,” ani Maj. Lumactod.
Pansamantalang dinala ang suspect sa Wao MPS para sa booking procedures bago ibalik ang warrant of arrest sa korte para sa pagpapalabas ng ‘order to the arrested accused.’ (JESSE KABEL)
