MANANATILI ang polisiya ng Pilipinas na ” friend to all, enemy to none.”

Ito ang tiniyak ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque sa gitna ng binitiwang pangako nito na paninindigan ng bansa ang 2016 arbitral award at pabulaanan ang territorial claim ng China sa South China Sea.

Ayon kay Sec. Roque, mananatiling nakatuon ang Pilipinas sa interes nito at interes na mapanatili ang friendly relations sa kahit alinmang nasyon sa mundo.

Wala aniyang balak o plano ang Pilipinas na makisawsaw sa giriian ng mga tinaguriang super powers na nakikitang patuloy na tumataas ang tensiyon.

Gaya aniya ng sinabi ng Pangulo, maaaring may hindi pagkakaunawaan sa isa’t isa ang malalaking bansa pero huwag naman sanang humantong na manaig ang matinding galit sa kanila.
“Well, the President in the same speech said ‘no that countries should not hate each other too much.

That’s the language of the President. He said that tension is escalating between the super powers and it’s the grass that is affected – countries like the Philippines,” ayon kay Sec. Roque.

“So nothing has changed as far as the Philippine policy is concerned, we will not take part in any intramurals between super powers.

We will advance our interests and currently, these are interest to maintain friendly relations with everyone and make no enemies with anyone. So, we consider all countries as friends and we have no enemies,” dagdag na pahayag ni Sec. Roque.

Binigyang-diin din ni Sec. Roque na kahit kailan ay hindi naman nagbago ang tindig ng Pilipinas sa posisyon nito sa arbitral ruling. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
