Ito ang paglalarawan ni Zambales Provincial Director Col. Romano V. Cardiño nang sumuko si Rocky Pabalan y Serrano, residente ng Brgy. Lomibao, San Marcelino, Zambales, miyembro ng communist terrorist group, Militiang Bayan sa ilalim ng KLG West Lino Blas Command.

Si Pabalan ay boluntaryong sumuko noong Sabado, Hunyo 10, 2021 dakong alas-6:00 ng gabi sa headquarters ng 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Zambales Provincial Office sa Brgy. Malimanga, Candelaria, Zambales.

Ito ay sa pakikipagtulungan ng Palauig MPS, San Marcelino PMS Intelligence, Barangay Information Network (BIN), at PRO3-RID sa ilalim ng direct supervision ng mission-driven Zambales provincial director.

Napag-alaman, ipinaalam ng hinihinalang miyembro ng CTG ang plano niyang pagsuko sa Zambales BIN.

Agad namang tinunton ng mga operatiba ang kinaroroonan ng dating rebelde para sa mabilis na pagproseso sa pagsuko nito.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagsusumikap at inisyatibo ng Zambales provincial director, at sa tulong ng Intelligence Group ng Zambales at Zambales BIN, si Pabalan ay ginabayan ng 1st PMFC para sa proper documentation ng kanyang pagsuko.

Sa isinagawang tactical interview, ipinagtapat ni Pabalan na nagsilbi siya bilang courier ng Pwersang Masa noong 2020 sa ilalim ng KLG West Lino Blas Command.

Inamin din niyang naging bahagi siya ng pag-agaw ng relief goods na para sa komunidad at dinala ang mga ito sa kanilang kampo.

“I welcome this development with open arms. I hope this will boost armed group member’s confidence to voluntarily surrender. With the government’s program for returnees, I shall personally expedite this. I would also like to convey the message that life is too short to live in a restricted setting. There will always be a day of reckoning so might as well live in the glory of freedom,” pahayag ni Col. Cardiño.
