“ONLY one Duterte will run.”

Ito ang pahayag ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque sa sinabi ni Pangulong Duterte na tatakbo na siya bilang bise-presidente sa Eleksyon 2022.

“Because, you know, the President’s stand remains – delicadeza dictates that only one Duterte will run. So, since only one Duterte will run and in his perception, Mayor Sara will not run, then he can run for vice president,” ayon kay Sec. Roque.

Subalit, biglang bawi naman ito nang sabihin na “nothing is final until October” kung talaga ngayong itutuloy ng pangulo ang kanyang pagtakbo bilang bise-presidente at hindi na tatakbo sa pagka-pangulo ang kanyang anak na si Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

“And meanwhile this is a family matter, so I would hope that the rest of the nation gives the father and the daughter breathing space to discuss and agree on future course of action,” ayon kay Sec. Roque.  (CHRISTIAN DALE)
