BAGAMA’T kabilang kampo ang kanyang sinuportahan sa katatapos na halalan, umapela si Albay Rep. Joey Salceda sa lahat na igalang at tanggapin ang desisyon ng sambayanang Pilipino na si Presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., ang nais nilang mamuno sa bansa sa susunod na anim na taon.

“It is very clear that the Filipino people have made a resounding choice, and that choice deserves to be respected. That is the essence of the democratic process,” ani Salceda.

Hindi lingid sa lahat na si Vice President Leni Robredo ang sinuportahan ni Salceda subalit inilampaso ito ni Marcos sa katatapos na halalan.

Si Salceda ang unang kababayan ni Robredo na umapela sa publiko na irespeto ang naging pasya ng sambayanang Pilipino.

“We have very little control over the past, but the future remains wide open for our efforts. A country that seeks greatness must be obsessed with the future, and all the opportunities it presents. As it appears that Former Senator Marcos will become the next President, I wish him the very best. A successful Marcos presidency will be the success of the country as well,” dagdag pa ng solon.

Dahil dito, tutulong aniya siya sa Marcos administration kung papaano resolbahin ang problema sa inflation rate, unemployment at economic growth, tatlong pangunahing isyu sa unang 100 araw nito sa Malacañang.

“I will be submitting to the President-elect a comprehensive plan for fiscal and economic recovery – so that what we build out of this crisis is a stronger, more resilient, and more equitable economy. I have a tax plan and a public and private investment plan that I will submit to the next President in the coming days,” pahayag ni Salceda.

Hindi pa man tapos ang bilangan ay agad nagpasalamat si Marcos Jr. sa taumbayan.

Nagbigay ng kanyang pahayag si Marcos, Lunes ng gabi dahil sa patuloy na pangunguna sa partial at unofficial tallies ng Commission on Elections transparency server.

Hinikayat din ni Marcos ang mga Pilipino na manatiling bantayan ang kanilang boto.

“Ngunit kahit hindi pa tapos nga ang pagbibilang, hindi makapaghintay ang aking pasasalamat sa inyong lahat, ang aking pasasalamat sa lahat ng tumulong, sa lahat ng sumapi sa aming ipinaglaban,” ayon kay Marcos.

“Any endeavor as large as this, does not involve one person. It involves very very many people, working in very very many different ways,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Pinasalamatan din ni Marcos ang maraming grupo, volunteers, at political leaders na tumulong sa kanyang kandidatura.

Aniya, ang mga indibidwal at grupong ito ay naniniwala sa kanilang “message of unity”, centerpiece ng kampanya ng BBM-Sara UniTeam.

“I want to thank you for all that you have done for us, there are thousands of you out there, volunteers, parallel groups, political leaders that have, that cast their lot with us, because of their belief in our message of unity,” ayon kay Marcos.

Samantala, as of 9:17AM kahapon, mayroon nang 30,622,302 boto si Marcos, sinundan nina: Vice President Leni Robredo, 14,611,211; Senator Manny Pacquiao, 3,541,623; Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, 1,861,818; Senator Panfilo Lacson, 873,094.

Sa presidential race naman ay nangunguna pa rin si Duterte na may 31,003,239 na boto kasunod sina Senator Francis Pangilinan, 9,101,744; Senator Vicente Sotto III, 8,100,944; Dr. Willie Ong, 1,821,735.

Ang naturang bilang ay may kabuuang 54,294,595 na mga bumoto mula sa 67,442,616 na registered voters. (May dagdag na ulat si CHRISTIAN DALE)
