CAVITE – Arestado sa bisa ng warrant of arrest ng pinagsamang puwersa ng Armed Force of the Philippines (AFP) at Philippine National Police (PNP) ang dalawang miyembro ng Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) sa isang subdibisyon sa Dasmariñas City sa lalawigang ito, noong Martes ng hapon.

Kinilala ang arestado na si Evangeline Rapanut, alyas “Chat/Ines”, miyembro ng CPP Central Committee, dating secretary ng Komiteng Rehiyon-Cagayan Valley (KR-CV), 2nd deputy secretary for organization at deputy secretary ng National Education Department (NED) ng CPP-NPA-NDF. Bukod dito, nasa underground movement siya simula noong 1970s hanggang sa naging full-time NPA member sa kalagitnaan ng 1970s.

Bukod kay Rapanut, naaresto rin sa lugar sa isinagawang operasyon si Randy Belen Tamayo, alyas “Deng”, communication staff ng National Education Department ng CPP-NPA-NDF.

Ang dalawa ay inaresto ng pinagsamang puwersa ng AFP at PNP noong May 31 ng hapon sa Greenwood Heights Subdivision, Brgy. Paliparan 1, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.  (SIGFRED ADSUARA)
