KUNG tratuhin ng China ang Pilipinas ay parang sakop na nila.

Pahayag ito ni Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers sa aroganteng reaksyon ni Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning sa pagbati ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., sa bagong Pangulo ng Taiwan na si Lai Ching-te.

“China’s arrogance shows vassal state treatment over us,” ayon sa beteranong mambabatas.

Dapat aniyang kondenahin ang China dahil ngayon pa lamang ay mistulang sakop na nila ang Pilipinas kung mag-aasta.

Ikinagalit ng China ang pagbati ni Marcos sa bagong halal na pangulo ng Taiwan dahil paglabag umano ito sa One China Policy kung saan ininsulto pa ni Mao si Marcos sa pagsasabing magbasa ng maraming libro.

Binalaan din ni Mao ang Pilipinas na huwag maglaro ng apoy.

“We are not your subjects and our country is not a vassal state that owes allegiance to China. Do not treat us like one, not even in your wildest dreams and imagination,” paalala ng mambabatas sa China.

Sa ngayon, matindi ang tensyon sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at China sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) na nais angkinin ng Beijing kahit idineklara na ng Permanent Court of Arbitration na pag-aari ng mga Pilipino ang bahagi ng teritoryong kanilang sinakop.

Idinepensa naman ni Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr., si Marcos sa pagsasabing bilang lider ng bansa ay may karapatan itong batiin ang sinomang lider ng mga kaalyadong bansa.

“President Marcos, as the elected leader of our sovereign nation, holds the prerogative to extend congratulations and foster amicable relations with global leaders,” ani Gonzales.

Nauna nang pinalagan ni Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. ang mga binitiwang salita ni Mao Ning.

” Mao stooped to such low and gutter level talk—resorting to insulting our President and the Filipino nation, and further debasing herself, the Ministry, and Party she represents in the process.”

“But then again, we should not at all be surprised—being a nation and people enjoying the privileges, rights, and freedoms of a democratic society—that an agent of a Party and system of government incompatible with our way of life and who routinely spouts State-sanctioned propaganda and disinformation would go that far and that low,” ayon sa Kalihim.

Tumanggi naman si Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian na magkomento sa pahayag ni Teodoro.
