INTERESADO at masigasig ang gobyerno ng South Korea na mag-hire ng mas maraming Filipino caregivers.

“I’ve been meeting with the DMW (Department of Migrant Workers) and DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) because we are interested in sending Filipino caregivers to Korea,” ayon kay South Korean Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Sang-Hwa sa sidelines ng National Armed Forces Day ng South Korea sa Taguig City.

“Filipino caregivers have a high reputation worldwide and it will be, in our view, a great partnership between our countries,” dagdag na wika nito.

Ang South Korea ay tahanan ng 60,000 overseas Filipino workers, ayon kay Lee.

Aniya, may 100 Filipino caregivers ang inaasahan na darating sa South Korea bago matapos ang taon.

Matatandaan, nitong Enero ay iniulat ng Korea Times na hinikayat ng nursing facility operators ang Korean government na mag-hire ng mga dayuhan dahil sa kakapusan ng local caregivers.
