May bagong pelikulang pinagbibidahan si J. Lo (Jennifer Lopez) na siya rin ang isa sa producers.
Ito ay ang Second Act na isang rom-com slated for theatrical release on December 21.
Nag-post ng video clip si J. Lo took sa Twitter kung saan siya ay makikitang nagsha-shower nang biglang sorpresahin ng kanyang boyfriend (played by Milo Ventimiglia) na may dalang parang… mukhang… at sila’y nag-… Ooops! No spoilers, please! Hahahaha.
Sa isang interview na pinadaan sa LinkedIn kamakailan, nagbalik-tanaw ang 49-year-old Hollywood star as she shared her thoughts about the downs (more than the ups) of her colourful showbiz career, at ilan pang mga bagay-bagay.
Bungad niya: “I look [at the downs in my career] now and I think, ‘You really just plowed through those’… “That’s the thing, you can’t stop. You have to keep on going. Failure is not falling down and making a mistake, or choosing a wrong movie, or doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. It’s stopping. Stopping is the failure; not continuing forward is the failure.”
Sa pag-usad ng mga taon, masasabi bang mas choosy na siya ngayon kaysa noon when it comes to project offers?
“It’s hard for me to say no, and it always has been. I’ve always been this person who takes on a lot because I love so many things. I love acting. I love making movies, I also love making television. I love performing live…”
Dagdag pa ni Jenny from the Block (isa pang palayaw ni Lopez): “But what I think I’ve learned, and what I’m trying to do now at this point in my life is to say no a little bit more and hone it down to working smarter instead of working all the time. Which, it gets tiring.”
Sa kasalukuyan, maraming pinagkakaabalahan o showbiz commitments ang Queen of Slits (oo, Queen of Slits si J. Lo, dahil sa madalas niyang pagsususot ng mga gown na may hiwa sa gitna ng paimbaba na naglalantad ng kanyang kaseksihan tuwing rumarampa sa red carpet events)!
Nandiyan ‘yung pagdya-judge niya sa Seasons 1 & 2 ng World of Dance (isang reality competition TV series), at pagganap niya bilang isang single mom na New York detective sa Season 3 ng Shades of Blue (isang police drama series) at ‘yun ngang latest movie niyanaSecond Act.
So, workaholic lang ang peg? Hindi ba napapagod ang isang Jennifer Lopez? “Everybody asks me ‘How do you do it?’ and I’m like, ‘Please stop asking me that question,’ because I don’t know and at some point it’s going to catch up with me,” natatawang sambit niya.
“It’s been a transitional time, a learning curve over the years. And now I’m at a place where I’m really much more particular and force myself, as much as I love doing so much, to say no to the smarter things. That changed, too, when I had my kids.”
May dalawang anak si Lopez: ang kambal na sina Maximilian David at Emme Maribel (10 years old) na ang ama ay ang Latino singer na si Marc Anthony.
Ano naman ang maipapayo ng “modern-day Elizabeth Taylor” (isang paghahalintulad, due to Lopez’s numerous failed relationships similar to Taylor’s) sa mga naghahangad makamit ang showbiz success gaya ng na-achieve niya more or less? “All you can do is know where you want to go and take steps every single day in that direction.”
