LAGUNA – Umabot sa 420 indibidwal ang nadakip sa police checkpoints sa Calamba City dahil sa paglabag sa minimum health protocol mula alas-5:00 ng madaling araw hanggang alas-9:00 ng gabi noong Mayo 14, 2021 habang nasa ilalim pa ng modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) ang lalawigan.
Ayon sa ulat ni Laguna Police Provincial Director, P/Col. Serafin Petalio II kay Regional Director, P/BGen. Eliseo Cruz, kabilang sa mga nahuli sa police checkpoint ay mga hindi nagsusuot ng face mask at face shield.
Gayunman, ang nahuling mga indibidwal ay hindi kinasuhan kundi pinabalik lamang sa pinanggalingan nilang lugar.
Sinabi ni Petalio, “The people’s observance of the minimum health protocols is also a personal responsibility. We are here to enforce the law to ensure protection of public health, but we greatly appreciate if you do not wait us to keep on intervening or stopping you just to remind you to wear your personal protective equipment against COVID-19”.
Matatandaan, iniutos kamakailan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga awtoridad na hulihin ang mga indibidwal na hindi sumusunod sa health protocol tulad ng hindi pagsusuot ng face mask at face shield.
Ang lalawigan ng Laguna ay nasa ilalim ng general community quarantine with heightened restrictions mula Mayo 15 hanggang 31. (CYRILL QUILO)
