IPINALABAS ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang mga alituntunin hinggil sa School Calendar and Activities para sa School Year 2022-2023 alinsunod sa pagpapatuloy ng ‘5 days of in-person classes’.

Nilagdaan ni Vice President and Secretary Sara Z. Duterte noong Lunes, itinakda ng DepEd Order No. 034, series of 2022, ang pagsisimula ng klase sa Agosto 22 at matatapos sa Hulyo 7, 2023.

Magkakaroon ng 203 school days o maaaring determinahin sa susunod pang ipalalabas na order sakaling magkaroon ng pagbabago sa school calendar dahil sa hindi inaasahang mga pangyayari.

Sa nasabing kautusan, nagbigay rin ang DepEd ng ‘direction and guidance’ sa muling pagbubukas ng klase at gradual introduction ng 5 days of in-person learning modality classes.

Ayon sa DO 034, s. 2022, “There will be no inspections, tools, or any additional requirements to re-open schools and implement five (5) days of in-person classes will be required, except for the compliance with the usual pre-pandemic regulatory permits and licenses, as required by law or ordinances’.

Ang DepEd ay nagtakda lamang ng opsyon ng 5 days person in-person classes, blended learning modality, at full distance learning hanggang Oktubre 31, 2022.

Simula sa Nobyembre 2, 2022, ang lahat ng public and private schools ay lilipat na sa 5 days of in-person classes.

“No school shall be allowed to implement purely distance learning or blended learning except for those implementing Alternative Delivery Modes as provided in DO 21, s. 2019 (Policy Guidelines on the K to 12 Basic Education Program) and DO 01, s. 2022 (Revised Policy Guidelines on Homeschooling Program),” ayon pa sa order.

Samantala, ang learning intervention para sa Alternative Learning System (ALS) ay opisyal na magsisimula sa nasabing opening date, habang ang program duration ay depende sa educational background ng mag-aaral o existing knowledge level bago ang enrolment sa ALS program.

Kaugnay sa school opening, ang implementasyon ng mga alituntunin sa School Calendar and Activities for SY 2022-2023 ay isasagawa sa public and private elementary and secondary schools, kabilang ang Community Learning Centers (CLCs) sa buong bansa.

Ang private schools, state/local universities, at colleges ay maaari ring ipatupad ang calendar. Maaari rin silang magpasimula ng klase bago ang unang Lunes ng Hunyo at bago ang huling araw ng Agosto.

Ang enrollment ay ipatutupad mula Hulyo 25 hanggang Agosto 22, at ang Brigada Eskwela at Oplan Balik Eskwela ay isasagawa mula Agosto 1 hanggang 26 at sa Agosto 15, ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Samantala, ang Basic Education Development Plan (BEDP) 2030, Learning Recovery and Continuity Plan (LRCP), at Classroom-based and System Assessments ay gagabayan ang mga paaralan sa epektibong pagpapatupad ng K to 12 Basic Education Program sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.
