PARA kay dating pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, hindi sapat na pabulaanan lang ang kumalat na video ng umano’y paggamit ng droga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Sa halip, inulit ni Duterte ang nauna nang hamon sa Pangulo na sumailalim sa hair follicle drug test.

Mas malakas aniyang depensa ang negatibong resulta ng nasabing pagsusuri sa halip na simpleng pagpapabulaan ng pamahalaan sa viral video.

“The Marcos administration’s feeble attempt to dismiss the video by simple denial actually reinforces the simmering suspicion of President Marcos drug addiction. As any lawyer knows, denial is the weakest form of defense. It has to do better than that,” giit ni Duterte.

Pinuna rin ng dating lider ang mahinang tugon ni Marcos sa mga akusasyon ng paggamit niya ng droga tulad ng pagtawa, pagtanggi o hindi pagsagot.

“With due apologies to all the experts who vouched for the authenticity of the video, the refusal of President Marcos to undergo the hair follicle drug test is the best proof not only of the video’s authenticity but, worse, his drug addiction,” tirada ni Duterte.

Bukod dito, kinondena rin ni Duterte ang aniya’y pagkampi ng Senado at Kongreso kay Marcos.

“The shameless act of legislators from both Senate and Congress to stand with President Marcos at this time of moral and legal crisis will forever be remembered by our people. They had this chance to be on the right side of history but they just wasted this chance,” aniya.

Inilabas ang video sa pagtitipon ng Hakbang ng Maisug sa Vancouver, Canada at Los Angeles, USA. Gayunman, itinanggi ni Duterte na may kinalaman ang Hakbang ng Maisug national leadership sa paglabas ng video.

Para naman sa anak ni Pangulong Marcos na si Ilocos Norte Representative Sandro Marcos, isang “pathetic attempt to destabilize the administration” ang pagpapalabas ng aniya’y pekeng video.

Kapwa naman itinanggi ng Department of National Defense (DND) at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na tunay ang video.

Iniutos na rin ng DILG ang malalimang imbestigasyon at hindi inaalis ang posibilidad na ginawa ang video gamit ang Artificial Intelligence o AI.
