IMBES mabahala, welcome pa umano kay Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte ang pagsasampa ng kasong drug smuggling ni dating Sen. Antonio Trillanes III laban sa kanya at sa bayaw na si Manases Reyes Carpio.

“I welcome Antonio Trillanes’ plan to file a drug smuggling case against me,” ani Duterte matapos ianunsyo ni Trillanes na nakatakda itong magsampa ng kaso kaugnay ng 600 kilo na shabu na nagkakahalaga ng P6.4 billion na dumating sa bansa noong 2017.

Bukod sa dalawa ay kasama umanong kakasuhan sina dating Bureau of Customs (BOC) Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon at isang Allen Capuyan.

“This is a welcome development, mas maganda ito dahil sa korte ng Pilipinas ang pagdinig at hindi sa korte ng Facebook at utak ng isang trililing na sundalong kanin,'” ang tila pang-aasar pa ni Duterte kay Trillanes.

Ayon sa kongresista, pagkakataon na ito para patunayan na inosente sila sa alegasyon na sila ang nasa likod ng nasabing drug smuggling na dumaan sa green lane sa BOC noong panahon ni Faeldon.

“I have always maintained my innocence, and I am confident that the judicial process will clear my name. It is important to rely on our legal institutions rather than resorting to trial by publicity or baseless allegations,” dagdag pa ni Duterte.

Unang inimbestigahan ni Trillanes si Duterte sa Senado na inaakusahan nitong miyembro ng triad at nasa likod ng drug smuggling sa bansa bagay na itinatanggi ng anak ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Kaso Isinampa Na

Kahapon ay isinampa na ni dating Senator Antonio “Sonny” Trillanes IV sa Department of Justice ang kasong drug smuggling laban kina Congressman Paolo “Polong” Duterte, Atty. Mans Carpio, asawa ni Vice President Sara Duterte, dating Bureau of Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon, dating Presidential Adviser Allen Capuyan, Davao City Councilor Small Abellera, notorious drug smuggler na si Charlie Tan, at apat na iba pa.

Ito ay kaugnay ng P6.4 bilyong halaga ng shabu shipment na nasamsam noong 2017.

“This morning, I filed a case against Pulong Duterte and other members of the Davao group smuggling syndicate. This is the result of the Senate investigations conducted in 2017, in which we have identified Pulong, Charlie Tan, and Mans Carpio, as the masterminds behind the Php6.4 billion shabu shipment that was allowed to slip through Customs in collaboration with its Commissioner Nic Faeldon and former Presidential Adviser Allen Capuyan who was known as the ‘Big Brother, “saad pa ng senador sa kanyang reklamo.

Base sa ulat, noong Mayo, 2017, umabot sa P6.4 bilyong halaga ng shabu na tumitimbang ng mahigit 600 kilo ang nasabat ng mga awtoridad sa isang bodega sa Valenzuela City, matapos itong ilabas ng Bureau of Customs sa Manila International Container Port (MICP).

Masusing nagsagawa ang Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ng serye ng mga pampublikong pagdinig, na nagsiwalat na ang naturang kontrabando, sa pamamagitan ng pagsisikap ng mga nagsabwatan, ay binigyan ng “green lane” na daanan upang makalusot sa alert system ng Bureau of Customs at hindi isinailalim sa pisikal na inspeksyon at beripikasyon ng dokumento.

“The conspiracy to import the subject shipment from China to the Philippines necessitated the crucial interventions of the ‘powerful insiders’- the corrupt customs leadership, and more importantly, the very powerful protectors who used their influence to consummate this unlawful crime of importation of billions of pesos worth of dangerous drugs into the country.”

Kinasuhan ni Trillanes ang 10 respondents ng paglabag sa Section 4 kaugnay ng Section 26(a) ng Republic Act No. 9165, o mas kilala bilang “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002″ na inamyenda ng Republic Act No. 10640; at Republic Act No. 3019, o”The Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.”

“Dito mo makikita na fake ang war on drugs ni Duterte. Libu-libo ang mga pinatay na hinihinalang drug addicts pero sila mismo pala ang protektor at kapartner ng mga bigtime druglords.
