MAAARING maharap sa court martial proceedings ang isang senior official ng Armed Forces of the Philippines matapos siyang ireklamo ng pangmomolestiya ng dalawa niyang junior officers.
“A pre-trial investigation was subsequently conducted and has since been completed. The case is now pending the approval of the convening authority (chief of staff) for referral to a General Court Martial (GCM) and its eventual convening,” ayon sa AFP.
Nag-ugat ito nang kasuhan ng rape ng dalawang junior officer na nagsisilbing office assistant ang isang high-ranking military official.
Naganap ang umano’y pangmomolestiya ng opisyal sa mga biktima noong January 29, 2025.
Bunsod nito ay naghain sa prosecutor’s office ng “joint criminal complaint for rape through sexual assault and attempted rape through sexual assault” ang dalawang junior officer laban sa opisyal.
Kasunod ng paglabas ng naturang report ang pagpa-file ng charge sheet sa Office of the Judge Advocate General ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (OJAG).
Sa ibinahaging impormasyon ni AFP Public Information Office chief, Col Xerxes Trinidad,…. “may prima facie case that warrants for a legal action so it will brought to the, for the approval of the convening officer for the endorsement, the () of a general court martial for it to convene.”
“There is a conclusion dun ano, it was completed and may, () that warrants for a further legal action, that’s why it is being endorse to the convening officer for the case of a general court martial to convene, nakalagay naman dun sa statement diba,” ani Col Trinidad.
Tumanggi naman kilalanin ng pamunuan ng AFP ang inakusahang military official at ang dalawang junior officer na naghain ng reklamo.
Iginiit ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) na hindi nila kinukunsinte ang anomang uri ng maling asal o misconduct sa kanilang hanay.
