HUMAKOT ng parangal ang ‘Rainbow’s Sunset’ sa katatapos na 2018 MMFF Gabi ng Parangal sa Solaire Resort and Casino. Kabilang sa nakuha nito ang Best Picture, Best Actress (Gloria Romero), Best Director (Joel Lamangan), Best Supporting Actress (Aiko Melendez) at Best Supporting Actor (Tony Mabesa).
Ginawaran din ng tatlong special awards ang pelikula kabilang ang Special Jury Prizes (Max Collins at Eddie Garcia) gayundin ang Gat Puno Villegas Cultural Award. Hindi naman nakadalo ang Best Actor na si Dennis Trillo para sa ‘One Great Love’ dahil nilalagnat. Tinanggap na lang ng kanyang manager na si Popoy Caratitivo ang award para sa kanya.
Ang 2nd Best Picture na ‘Aurora’ ay nanalo ring Best Cinematrography, Best Sound Design at Best Visual Effects. Inaasahang madaragdagan pa ang kita ng mga pelikulang nanalo ng award tulad ng: Best Picture: Rainbow’s Sunset; 2nd Best Picture: Aurora; 3rd Best Picture: One Great Love; Best Director: Joel Lamangan (Rainbow’s Sunset); Best Actor: Dennis Trillo (One Great Love); Best Actress: Gloria Romero (Rainbow’s Sunset); Best Supporting Actor: Tony Mabesa (Rainbow’s Sunset); Best Supporting Actress: Aiko Melendez (Rainbow’s Sunset); Best Cinematography: Aurora.
