TULOY ang nakatakdang laban ng Philippines Football League champion Ceres Negros at Indonesian powerhouse Bali United ngayong araw sa Rizal Memorial Stadium. Ngunit maglalaro sila nang walang manonood.
Ito ay bilang pagtalima sa direktiba ng pamahalaan upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
“We regret to inform our supporters that our match against Bali United will be played in a closed stadium,” ayon sa opisyal na pahayag ng Ceres.
“After careful consultation with the Philippine Football Federation and the Philippine Sports Commission, and to conform with the measures adopted by the national and local governments to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus, it has been decided that the game will be staged without spectators. This is with due regard to the to the growing concerns on the transmission and keeping the health and the safety of the fans and the general public at large,” sabi pa ng naturang club.
Sa huling laro ng Ceres kontra Vietnam’s Than Quang Ninh, tinatayang mahigit limang libo ang nanood ng libre sa RMS.
Nangunguna ngayon ang Ceres sa Group G sa taglay nitong apat na puntos, kasunod ang Bali United na may tatlong puntos.
