VALENZUELA AT MEDICAL CITY LUMAGDA SA MOA PARA SA MASS TESTING

LUMAGDA ng memorandum of agreement (MOA) ang Valenzuela City at The Medical City (TMC) para sa unang public-private partnership para sa mass testing upang malabanan ang COVID-19 pandemic, na libre para sa mga Valenzuelanos.

Sa ilalim ng MOA, babalikatin ng pamahalaang lungsod ang pagkuha ng PCR (polymerase chain reaction) testing kits, habang ang TMC ang magpoproseso sa mga resulta.
Ayon naman kay Mayor Rex Gatchalian, kailangan pang maghintay ng ilang araw habang inaabangan ng TMC ang certification mula sa Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM)  para sa Stage 5 accreditation.

Bukod sa RITM, tanging ang San Lazaro Hospital, UP Institute of Health at Lung Center of the Philippines ang Stage 5-certified na ospital sa National Capital Region.

“My special request to my fellow Valenzuelanos, let’s all keep praying that in the soonest time it (TMC) will have its Stage 5 accreditation from the RITM of the Department of Health.  Malapit na. Ang kapalaran natin ay nasa accreditation nila,” anang alkalde.

Sa sandaling bigyan ng sertipikasyon ng RITM, sinabi ni Gatchalian na maaari nang magsuri ng samples ang TMC.

“We understand that government hospitals are already loaded with COVID-19 patients, that is why we looked for a private hospital and we are gratified by the quick response of TMC to be our partner in this battle against this deadly virus.

I know many will ask me about this testing kit. This is my advance answer to an advance question – it’s free for our residents,” ani Gatchalian. FRANCIS SORIANO
