TINIYAK ng pinuno ng Inter-Agency Task Force PhilHealth na makikipag-ugnayan ito sa Kongreso upang hindi nauulit ng task force (TF) ang ginagawang imbestigasyon ng lehislatura.
Ayon kay Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, hangad ng TF “to speed up our work and avoid unnecessary duplication, so that we may take legal action immediately.”
Nagsimula nang maglunsad ng imbestigasyon ang dalawang sangay ng Kongreso hinggil sa samu’t sari umanong diskarte ng korapsyon at pandarambong ng ilang opisyal ng PhilHealth.
Nabanggit sa imbestigasyon na P154 bilyon ang nawala sa PhilHealth mula 2014 hanggang 2018.
Natumbok din ang P15 bilyon nawaldas sa panahon ni Ricardo Morales, pinuno at chief executive officer ng PhilHealth.
Ang Task Force PhilHealth ay binuo ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte upang maging komprehensibo ang imbestigasyon sa ahensiya, sa pangunguna ng Department of Justice (DOJ).
Kasama rin ang Office of the Ombudsman, Commission on Audit (COA), Civil Service Commission (CSC), Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), Office of the Special Assistant to the
President (OSAP), Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at National Prosecution Service (NPS).
