HINIMOK ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga kasapi ng New People’s Army (NPA) na magbalik-loob at makipagtulungan sa pamahalaan para mapagtagumpayan ang land reform program ng administrasyon.

Sa talumpati ng Pangulo sa isinagawang pamamahagi ng Certificate Of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) sa Negros Occidental, Duterte, sinabi nito na kung ang China ay maglunsad ng pag atake, ang mga NPA ang unang matatalo.

“The mountains will be blown to pieces with just one missile. There will be no burials because if the moment you get hit, wala na. Where will we look for your body parts? That is why you will never ever win. I have told you before that you will never win in anything. You will just keep on killing and terrorizing people. That is the only thing that you agree on,” pahayag ni Duterte.

Binigyan-diin ng Pangulo na ang kanyang trabaho ay ang mamuno sa bansa at panatlihin ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa bansa, kaya ang mahigpit na kautusan nito ay ang “shoot to kill for those who are armed.”

“Because if I don’t do that, it will take an even longer time for us to finish this. It would be better if you drop your guns and talk. Let’s talk about how we’re going to distribute the lands. Marami pa bang lupa ang gobyerno diyan? May lupa pa ba na pwede nating — gobyerno, dito. ha?” Ayon pa kay Duterte.

Kaakibat pa sa talumpati ng Pangulo ang pangako nito na bukod sa benepisaryo ng Agrarian Reform Program, maging ang mga nasa naninirahan sa bundok ay pagkakalooban din.

Kaugnay nito,  kinontra ng Pangulo ang mga komunista sa pagturing na diyos ng mga ito kay Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founder Jose Maria Sison.

“For 53 years you were fooled by just one person. 53 years of killing. To this day, they haven’t even been able to successfully hold a single barangay. And when they arrive, they wreak havoc and fight over which land they want to occupy. I will not allow that to happen,” ayon kay Duterte.

Sinabi ng Pangulo na kailangan bitiwan ang mga government officials na nakikipag ugnayan at sabwatan sa mga komunista kabilang na sina dating Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano, dating DSWD Secretary Judy Taguiwalo at dating National Anti-Poverty Commission chairperson Liza Maza.

“The worst thing is they want to impose on government their own ideals. But that wasn’t our agreement, so I had to let them go,” anya pa ng Pangulo.
