SUMUKO si Abu Sayyaf Sub-Leader Abdullah Indanan, alyas “Guro” at sampu nitong miyembro sa militar sa Hadji Mohammad Ajul, Basilan. Ayon kay Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom) commander, Lieutenant General Alfredo Rosario Jr., sumuko ang grupo ni Indanan kay Joint Task Force Basilan Commander Brigadier General Domingo Gobway sa Barangay Serongon.

Ang grupo ni Indanan ay nagsasagawa ng operasyon sa Lamitan-Tuburan-Mohammad Adjul complex.

Sumuko ang mga rebelde apat na araw matapos mapatay ang isa pang ASG sub-leader na si Radzmil Jannatul alyas “Khubayb” sa 15 minutong bakbakan sa Sitio Center sa bahagi ng Barangay Baiwas, Sumisip noong Marso 25.

Isinuko rin ng mga rebelde ang 11 matataas na kalibre ng baril, kabilang ang anim na M16 rifles, isang M1 Carbine, dalawang M16A1 rifles, isang M16 rifle na may M203, at isang M4 rifle.

Binati naman ni AFP Chief of Staff, General Andres Centino ang tagumpay ng JTF Basilan at WESMINCOM sa pinaigting na security operations sa probinsya ng Basilan at sa buong Western Mindanao.

“Continue what you are doing in your area of operations. Neutralizing the leaders of threat groups affect their morale, leading to the surrender of its members,” pahayag ni Gen. Centino.

Dagdag nito, “Let us continue our momentum in our operations to secure the communities from threats and ensure the success of the 2022 national and local elections.”

Samantala, 12 kasapi ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF), kabilang ang isang sub-commander, ang sumuko sa Maguindanao.

“Based on the report from the ground, Anwar Pegas, a sub-leader of the BIFF-Karialan Faction; Zukarno Sailila, his deputy; and 10 of their followers voluntarily surrendered to Lt. Col. Edwin Alburo, Commanding Officer of the 40th Infantry Battalion at 8:00 a.m. today,” pahayag ni Lt. Gen. Alfredo Rosario, Jr., Commander of Western Mindanao Command.

Isinuko rin nila kay Lt. Col. Alburo sa 40IB headquarters sa Barangay Kabengi, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao ang dalawang 7.62mm M14 rifles, dalawang 5.56mm M16A1, isang Carbine, dalawang cal. 50 Barrett Sniper rifles, dalawang 9mm submachine guns, isang 40mm
