MADALAS banggitin sa speech ni US President Trump ang phrase, “Promise made, promise kept!”
Kadalasang naririnig natin sa mga politiko ang mangako lalo na sa panahon ng kampanya. Maging sa iba’t ibang pagkakataon ang mga tao ay nangangako; tulad ng manliligaw, mga umuutang at iba pa. Subalit nasisira sa mga pangako. Kaya ang biro sa mga politiko ay most outstanding promising mayor, governor, congressman o senator na sagana sa pangako na ‘di tinutupad. Pangakong napapako!
Unlike, our Lord God, kapag nangako ito’y natutupad! Ang Diyos na lumikha o gumawa ng lahat ng bagay. Ang hindi lang kayang gawin ay magsinungaling.
2 Peter 3:9, which says that the Lord is faithful not slow in keeping His promises. Our God is known for making promises and keeping them. Sa Bible, marami tayong mababasang mga pangako ng Diyos na kailangan natin sampalatayanan o i-claim para sa katuparan sa ating buhay.
God’s promises para sa atin; His presence is with us, His love will never fail us, His faithfulness will never change, His grace is enough for us, His guidance will be with us, His healing can revive us, His provisions will sustain us, His mercy is always available and more.
Isaiah 55:11, “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Number 23:19, “God is not human, that he should lie. Not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”
Ilan sa mga favorite kong promises: for God shall supply all my needs according to richness and glory, He will never leave you nor forsake you, I will restore your health and heal your wounds, by His wounds you’re healed, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever and so on. Read your Bible and see and taste that the Lord is good forever!
