SA pagnanais na maipatupad nang maayos ang enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) at 24-oras na curfew hour sa Parañaque City ay ipinag-utos ng naturang local government unit ang pagde-deputize ng private detectives, security guards at kanilang mga tauhan upang magsilbing force multipliers ng police force ng lungsod.
Sa ilalim ng nilagdaang executive order 30 ni Parañaque City Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez, inaatasan ang mga ahensya at negosyo sa larangang panseguridad sa loob ng hurisdiksyon ng lungsod na tumanggap ng direktang utos mula sa city chief of police para tumulong sa istriktong pagpapatupad ng ECQ.
Nakabase, ani Olivarez, sa Section 12 ng Republic Act No. 5487 o mas kilalang “the Private Security Agency Law”, ang kanyang Executive Order, para sa mga kaso ng emergency kagaya ng kalamidad na dinaranas ng buong bansa sa ngayon.
“Considering the extraordinary public health and emergency situation the country is experiencing right now, we need the help of the private sector to curtail the COVID 19 threat.
Because our city is surrounded by several private subdivisions, we need to utilize the private security agency to apprehend law violators since the police cannot enter the posh villages,” sabi ni Mayor Olivarez. DAVE MEDINA
