INANUNSYO ni Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Jaime Morente na magbibigay sila ng free COVID-19 RT-PCR tests para sa mga empleyado nagkaroon ng mga sintomas ng COVID-19.
“Being frontliners, BI personnel are one of the most at risk as we are in close contact with numerous people every day in the performance of our duties,” ani Morente. “This effort is to ensure the health and safety of everyone,” dagdag pa niya.
Sinabi ni BI Deputy Commissioner Aldwin Alegre, chairman ng BI COVID Task Force, ang kanilang isasagawang swab testing ay sa pamamagitan ng tulong kanilang partner agencies.
“We have received allocation for swab kits from the Philippine Coast Guard and the Local Government Unit of Manila. We are very thankful for their support, and this will go a long way in our fight against COVID,” banggit pa niya.
Ayon sa BI, limang empleyado na ang kanilang isinailalim sa pagsusuri.
Prayoridad umano nila ang symptomatic employees, maging ang mga naging close contact ng kumpirmadong COVID-19 patients.
“Testing for BI employees will be conducted at the Palacio de Maynila, Manila Health Office, and Palacio del Gobernador in Intramuros”, dagdag ng opisyal. (JOEL O. AMONGO)
