IGINIIT ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na paglabag sa FB (Facebook) standard ang pag-accommodate sa illegal activities ng E-sabong kaya’t hiniling nilang tanggalin ang pages o accounts ng mga illegal E-sabong operation sa nasabing social media platform.
Sinulatan ng DILG ang Meta Platforms, Inc., ang parent organization ng Facebook, hinggil sa nasabing usapin.
Kasabay nito, pinasalamatan ni DILG Secretary Eduardo Año ang mabilis na pag-aksyon ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) na inatasan ang lahat ng bank-supervised financial institutions na tanggalin ang e-sabong operators sa listahan ng mga maaaring bayaran sa E-wallets tulad ng GCash at PayMaya.
“The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) today thanked the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) for heeding the call of President Rodrigo Duterte to stop e-sabong operations in the country by immediately ordering its bank-supervised financial institutions (BSFIs) to remove all e-sabong operators from the list of merchants in their respective online applications” pahayag ni SILG.
