DATI dalawa lang ang news, bad news at good news, ngayon nadagdag pa ang mga fake news. But we will focus sa good news at ito ang real good news. Although bad news, isama natin ang fake news na kapag napakinggan ay ipinamamalita agad ng mga marites.

But I believe when he heard good news ito’y mabilis ding ibinabalita sa mga kaibigan, kakilala at kahit kanino pa. When we hear good news, we want to tell people, don’t we? Dahil good news brings great joy.

Alam ba ninyo? Two thousand years ago sa Bethlehem ay may great good news ang lumabas o ipinahayag. An angel appeared to lowly shepherds and told them that he was bringing them good news that would cause great joy for all the people. Sa Luke 2:17, sinabi na nang makita nila ang Savior, they spread the word tungkol sa kanya. The joy that they experienced about the good news, they wanted to share that joy and that is the birth of our Savior.

Nowadays, mostly bad news, fake news, crime news, political unrest, rumors of wars, earthquakes, floods, scam, corruption, etc. Many people are getting depressed, disappointed, discouraged and people becoming ill and hopeless.

Kabayan, hoping this season we only hear and receive the great good news of all time, this news that will give us love, joy, peace and everlasting life. Luke 2:9-10 “… Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause joy for all the people. V 10 – “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” John 3: 16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

The challenge for us this Christmas season is not only to remember the good news that has brought us great joy, but also to share this joy of Good News, the best news ever, to others. (giv777@myyhaoo.com)
