IPINAG-UTOS ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte na dagdagan ang deployment ng on-site government workers sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert Level 2, 3, at 4 sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Layon nito na masiguro na magtutuloy-tuloy ang delivery ng government services.

Ang kautusan ng Pangulo ay nakasaad sa Memorandum Circular (MC) 93.

“There are reports that some government agencies and instrumentalities have such a small proportion of their total workforce on-site that the delivery of public service suffers as a result,” nakasaad din sa MC 93.

“There is a need to balance health considerations and the continuous delivery of public services, regardless of the Alert Level System prevailing in a particular area,” dagdag pa rito.

Ang lahat naman ng pinuno ng agencies and instrumentalities ng executive branch, kabilang na ang government-owned and controlled corporations (GOCCs), ay maaaring magdagdag ng on-site workforce sa kanilang tanggapan.

Sa ilalim ng nagdaang MC 88 na ipinalabas noong Agosto, ang maximum percentage ng government agency’s workforce na maaaring mag-report on-site ay 20% “at any given time.”

Ang buong bansa ay nasa ilalim ng Alert Level 2 hanggang katapusan ng taon.

“Under Alert Level 2 — the second-lowest in the new alert level system — certain establishments and activities are allowed at 50% capacity indoors for fully vaccinated adults (and minors, even if unvaccinated) and 70% capacity outdoors,” ayon sa ulat. (CHRISTIAN DALE)
