OUR topic today is about worries. Pag-aalala sa wika natin. Bawat nilalang ay nag-aalala o nakararanas mag-alala sa buhay. Worries definition in Cambridge Dictionary is to think about problems or unpleasant things that might happen in a way that makes you feel unhappy and frightened. Whereas, definition and nature in Topical Encyclopedia, worries, often referred to as anxieties or cares, are feelings of unease or concern about potential future events or outcomes. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illnesses in the US and affect over 40 million adults. (Canyon Ridge Christian Church).
Sabi nila worry can kill, may kanta naman, “Don’t worry be happy.” Worries as a common human experience, maraming alalahanin ang tao sa pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay. Tulad ng kakainin, isusuot, trabaho, negosyo, kalusugan, pampamilya at marami pa.
Worry ay kapahayagan na ang tao ay nagkukulang or lack of trust in God’s sovereignty and goodness. Sa bible laging pinaaalalahanan ang believers na magtiwala sa probisyon at plano ng Diyos at kilalanin na ang Diyos ay may control ng lahat ng bagay o pangyayari.
Sa Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 6:25-34) ay sinabi ng Panginoon Jesus ang tungkol sa worry o pag-aalala sa disciples about their lives, what they will eat or drink, or about their bodies and what they will wear. Binigyang-diin ng Panginoon Jesus, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added onto you.”
The Topical Bible gives practical application to overcome worries, cares or anxieties. Una, daily surrender to God and trusting in His care. Ikalawa, scripture meditation regularly can combat worry by reinforcing God’s promises and faithfulness. Ikatlo, prayer and thanksgiving can shift focus from anxiety to trust in God’s goodness. At pang huli, seeking support in the faith community can provide strength and perspective in times of worry.
Narito ang ilang Bible verses na pwede natin i-meditate and claim them:
“Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer, and petition with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6).
“Throw all your worry on Him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7).
“…therefore, I tell you, don’t worry about your life, what you will eat, or about the body, what you will wear.” (Luke 12:22).
Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior in your life! (giv777@myyahoo.com)
