ATING tatalakayin ngayon ang mga salita sa Bibliya na nagpapahayag ng pagtingin o pagsumpong sa mas mahahalagang bagay dito sa mundo.
Sabi sa Colossians 3:1-2, “If you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God, Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.” St. Paul is saying set our mind above.
Dr. David Jeremiah, a well-known preacher and author of dozens of books shared that Christians should set our heart on things above. He mentioned that nowadays, people tend to look at things in the world in different ways or somewhere else for the answers.
Like, psychologists tell us we should look within. The opportunists tell us we should look around. The optimists tell us we should look ahead while pessimists, we should look out. But St. Paul reminded us to seek those things which are above.
Pastor Roger Adrian, a great pastor as well as author of many books specified, “Don’t look at the world, you’ll be stressed; don’t look at yourself you’ll be in distress and instead look up to God and you’ll be at rest”.
In many instances in our lives, kanino tayo tumitingin o ang ating nilalapitan para malutas ang ating mga problema o mga bagay na bumabagabag sa atin?
Most of the time, nakalilimutan natin to look up to our Father in heaven. Alam natin na lagi siyang nakamasid sa atin, lalo’t higit kung tayo ay sumasampalataya sa kanya.
Sabi nga ni St. Paul, “He will never leave us nor forsake us.”
In The Book of Jeremiah, God said, “Call unto me and I’ll answer thee and show you great and mighty things that thou knowest not.”
Focus on the above things which are eternal and limitless. Cast our burden on Him for he cares for us! Don’t forget our Lord Jesus said “To seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added onto you.” (giv777@myyahoo.com)
